After hearing and reading this question, many people are not well aware of the real meaning of the word “Madrassah”. We will just answer it very easily that Madrassah is where Muslim children go to in order to learn Quraan shareef. But when we try to flash our mind back and have a look in the life of our Holy Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him ) and His Sahaabas (r.a) and ‘Ulamaas who followed the steps of Huzoor Hazrat Muhammad , we will find that they have never described the meaning of the word “Madrassah”, like we have just mentioned above.

We will find that the Madrassah is a complete school of thoughts, a complete school of guidance, a complete code of life. The only way in human life to promote means and achievements and all success in this material world, the spiritual world and hereafter (aakhirat) is non other than Madrassah.

Yes of course we read Quraan shareef in Madrassah. But we don’t only read it; we also go deeper in it and find out all the teachings of Islam. So when we read Quraan shareef in this way then we will be able to find and achieve the main source of life and the key of the world hereafter.
